im going into grade 8 having no experience in cheer leading. i was watching a show and it looked really fun but i don’t know wat to do when it comes to tryouts.

spilts are for drill team, mostly.
for cheer you sould learn the chants & cheers
and be able to (atleast) know how to do a cartwheel,
and have your flipflop. try taking a tumbling class.

I am not a present cheerleader but a dancer and would like to try out for cheerleading for my high school team in a year! give me all the tips you got! I will be a fresman trying out. I really want to make it but can’t do any camps. Mainly how to improve on the things in the question,

always practice.im trying to do the slits my cousin always to put the back leg stretched out then have the front foot like you are stretching then stretch that leg out

I am joining cheerleading soon and I really want to become more flexible. I try stretches but it isn’t working unless I am doing it wrong. Has anyone got any really good stretches to help me to become more flexible and do the splits???

My best friend cheered for 10 years and she always got really out of shape during the summer and would spend the last 2 weeks before school started stretching obessedly. She would loosen up in a matter of days. She would mostly just stretch while watching movies. She’d try to sit and touch her toes, lean backwards and touch her toes to her head. She said it was less painful because she was watching tv so she wouldn’t be thinking about it. I think she’s nuts, it always hurt me, but to each their own, right?
