I’m going back to public high school next year and I was thinking about cheerleading because I think it might be fun. (They didn’t have a squad at my old school) And I was wondering how much gymnastic ability you need to tryout. (I have a little but I’m not sure if it’s enough)

For some schools you don’t need any gymnastics ability, but that’s fairly rare. At most schools, having your back handspring makes you pretty solid for tryouts and for making the team. But, for some schools, it may be more or less.

For high school, you have to pretty experienced. You will probably not make the team if you don’t know the moves. Try-outs will have routines that you will have to complete.
I suggest finding a camp in your area for Cheerleading and see if you can learn some things before trying out for the team.

Depends on how large the other girls are. If the other cheerleaders are shorter and lighter you’ll be a base but if the other girls are taller and weigh more then you do then you have a good chance of being a flier. It also depends on how many girls and stunt groups you have. The more girls, the more stunt groups, the more stunt groups there are the more fliers they will need. So really what it comes down to if your team.

Hi
I want to sign up for allstars cheerleading next year.Does anyone know how much it costs?My parents said they dont want to spend more than 3000 for the cheer because i have to take tumbling classes.

I’m in All Star cheerleading and if you sign up right now it would be around $ 2000 but in the beginning of the year it costs around $ 3000 but thats how much you pay by the end of the year. You pay like $ 150 every month, and then there’s uniforms and competition fees and you usually have to book a hotel and sometimes you book a flight. The traveling is usually planned by your family because they might want to go so they pay for that themselves.
