Question by Animal Luver: How much do you have to know to be a cheerleader?
I’m going to start high school in August and I don’t have any experience in cheerleading and I was wondering what it takes to make it? Also, what are the tryouts like? Is there anything that can better prepare me?

For high school, you have to pretty experienced. You will probably not make the team if you don’t know the moves. Try-outs will have routines that you will have to complete.
I suggest finding a camp in your area for Cheerleading and see if you can learn some things before trying out for the team.

during tryouts try hard
ask questions if u don’t understand the routine
at my high school u learn 4 cheers and a short dance
and then at the end of the week u perform it with three other people
just remember make each movement sharp
smile make facial expessions act like ur haveing fun
be loud!!
oohh and when u come into the room
u don’t walk u rally jump in lound smile!! think happy thoughts
eye contact
and gymnastics will help
