Depends on how large the other girls are. If the other cheerleaders are shorter and lighter you’ll be a base but if the other girls are taller and weigh more then you do then you have a good chance of being a flier. It also depends on how many girls and stunt groups you have. The more girls, the more stunt groups, the more stunt groups there are the more fliers they will need. So really what it comes down to if your team.

In our Varsity Cheer Squad, before I made it on the team, the ‘perfect flier’ was 125lbs or less, and was usually shorter than her bases. So honestly, it could be anything because now that our cheer squad has a boy (me) the “acceptable flier weight” is 5’10” at 150lbs because we can now lift that. So it really depends on who your bases are, if they’re strong enough to lift you, etc. But at 100lbs and 5 feet, you should be good for flying 🙂 Just remember to stay tight.

Weight and height do not matter for you. It depends how strong your bases are. Also, if you are tight, lock your knees and pull up on your weight, you should be perfect. Any one can be a flyer. Just always push your hips out, pull up, pinch a penny suck your weight in and dont be scared!!! practice on a chair of something. You have to have alot of strength.
