Question by Twilight: Do Some Men Fear Equality because their Self Worth relies on a Submissive Cheerleader?

No I don’t mean a buxom tweenie yelling your name while you kick a ball. What I mean is the stay at home woman who does all the household chores and tells you how wonderful you are, keeps the place tidy. Looks demure and attractive when friends come round so they all say how nice she is. Builds you up 24/7. That is what I mean by cheerleader.

i just started a few months ago but i started with my back. start on the rollers that the coaches usually have at the gymnastic centers. then, hit the trampoline and throw some every chance. you will have your standing back handspring in no time. im a really fast learner so i got it all after about four lessons.

all you have to do is practice, practice, practice!

What you need to do is stop being scared. Period.

Whenever we have incoming freshmen who want to be on the team, we give them three pieces of advise:

1.) Do not be scared
2.) If the coach asks you to do something, do not make yourself scared when you haven’t even given it a shot
3.) Just DO IT!

You will not drop your flier. If you do, SO WHAT! That’s cheerleading! You’re going to drop her once or twice. You will learn from that mistake and try again and possibly hit the Liberty. Also, you’re not weak. it’s all in your LEGS (the strongest muscles in your body) and your other base. You guys have to work TOGETHER to keep her up.

Stop being scary when you haven’t even done it yet.

Q&A: What are some ways to get over a fear of tumbling in cheerleading?

Question by Arynn: What are some ways to get over a fear of tumbling in cheerleading?
To make the Varsity cheerleading squad at my school, you have to do at least a standing backhandspring. But I am scared to death about going backward! What are some tips about getting over that fear?

Take an actual tumbling class at a local gym. Have a coach who can spot you consistently and who can train you on a safety belt (which allows you to get the hang of going backwards with no threat of hurting yourself from falling). Call local gyms and be very specific with what you are looking for when you ask questions. Go for the one that is most eager to help you meet your personal goals.

Good luck!
