I am 13 and I am 5’4 and weigh 200 pounds but I want to be thin enough to be a cheerleader when I am in 9th or 10th grade

The pattern for losing those excess pounds is easy – eat less and exercise more often – the difficulties appear when we actually try to put that into practice! There are plenty of opportunities to fail in the real world don’t you think?! 175 pounds is a lot for your height, but if you really want to be a cheerleader, you should try out. Except, if your school is being all ‘only slim popular girls can become cheerleaders’, don’t bother: you’ll only have chance if you’re already friends with the current cheerleaders…

I’m gonna sound like a nagger now, but try to lose some weight. Obesity comes with all sorts of heightened health risks, such as diabetes, heart failure, and so on.

I cant stand being overweight. Cheerleading means everything to me, but since im slightly overweight, i constantly dont make any of my try-outs. I really need help. Try-outs are coming up soon.

im a cheerleader and ur weight does not matter i promise you, you have to be in shape though like eat healthy and exercise and also work on the cheers and prcticing cheers.

P.S. every girl thinks they have to be able to do good gymnastics but u dnt its not gymnastics its cheerleading.
trust me on all.
ive been cheerin all my life 🙂

Run every single morning and night for around an hour, do 30 min exercise’s whenever you can, and stop eating junk food!

Well to able to hold your weight in a stunt you need to have very strong core muscles. Core muscles are in your abb area. They help you stay balanced and maintain weight distribution. Here are some exercises that i work on at my tumbling class to strengthen core muscles-
