I need to know the positioning of the hands for catchers. We have two bases putting up a flyer who will then fall into 6 catchers on the front and 6 catchers on the back. Thanks!! 🙂

Some people do it like a basket toss weave, as seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XfkJi6fK6o

Others just do it like a cradle or fireman’s catch. Upside to the basket one is your arms are interlocked and pretty strong that way. Downside is your catchers’ hands aren’t free should something go wrong and they need to catch the flyer.

How to do a full down stunt in cheerleading?

Question by Marie B: How to do a full down stunt in cheerleading?
I am learing a full down in cheer and im the flyer now. I am usually a base but since i got moved up to level 3 i am one of the smallest and am now a flyer. I can do all of the basics like libs, heel streches, scorpions, scales, arabesques, and i can cradle. But i have never twisted into a cradle. And im kinda scared! Any tips or excersises i could do to help me prepare to full down? Thanks!

Hi! There are many ways to to help you spin, and I found that the most effective was spinning where your arms are doing the dagger motion. It causes your shoulders to twist so therefore moves your whole body! Just try not to elbow your bases!

**Edit: Try Practicing on a large bed, on a trampoline, or in a pool! Its 80 percent confidence, so If you build enough to believe you can do it, you probably can 🙂

I will be making a cheerleading video for freshmen year in college and I need a stunt team I would only have to be a base I am a great base. it will only be like 10-30 minutes. how would I am not on the school team or anything like that. I just need a team who is willing to help me help what do I do.????
