What is the hand position for catchers in a pendulum cheerleading stunt?

Question by Laura Hall: What is the hand position for catchers in a pendulum cheerleading stunt?
I need to know the positioning of the hands for catchers. We have two bases putting up a flyer who will then fall into 6 catchers on the front and 6 catchers on the back. Thanks!! 🙂

Some people do it like a basket toss weave, as seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XfkJi6fK6o

Others just do it like a cradle or fireman’s catch. Upside to the basket one is your arms are interlocked and pretty strong that way. Downside is your catchers’ hands aren’t free should something go wrong and they need to catch the flyer.

the flier should be in a half or full or whatever and she should reach her hands between her legs for the back spot’s hands. once the flier and the back spot hold hands, the two bases pop the flier up like a cradle while the back spot pulls on the flier. the flier should flip herself and the spotters should catch her :]
