What are the cheerleading stunt safety rules for a middle school age group?

Question by McKenna Soaponarope: What are the cheerleading stunt safety rules for a middle school age group?
I tried to look it up and all I find is High School and College. I coach a community cheer squad ages 6th-8th grade. What are the rules for stunting?

    well for us we arent allowed to do a full lib. or an extended lib at our school. and thats all i know cuz i dont do school cheer anymoree. oh i dont think you can do a double down either. but if it isnt for school they will probably be different rules. if you are competiting then i would check with the program. maybe email or call them. if you are not competiting i would just do what the girls can do!

    As far as I know there are no universal rules from the federal level for middle school cheer yet. Ask your local cheer coaches associations what rules apply for your state.

    In my case we follow NFHS, but we have imposed further restrictions based on age and ability level beyond those. However, these are from a voluntary association of coaches rather than a state-enforced organization. The only real way to enforce them is to deduct points from teams who do not comply with the safety rules when they participate in competitions sponsored by this association.

    what level in cheerleading are you, or do you have levels in middle school cheerleading? idk, im on a competative allstar team…never been on a school team.
