level 4 can do running tumbling up to layouts, and standing up to standing tucks and tumbling out of standing handsprings.

Yeah, I know it varies from school to school. I was just wanting to see what other squads requirements are.

It of course depends on your specific squad but I would know how to do a back walkover, a cartwheel, and maybe just a few other things that you already know how to do. As long as you have the simple things covered, you should easily make it by just being loud and having good dance skills. Good luck on making the squad. Remember to practice some of you simple tumbling skills though because you never know how rusty you could be!

Im not completely sure but in tumbling i would say you should have at least a round off back hand spring, you cant do more then i round off tuck on a level 3? i think. you should have decent jumps, and tight motions.

I want to do cheerleading my freshman year of high school (next year). I’m already practicing my motions, jumps, splits, and I start tumbling next month. Can anyone please tell me what is likelly to be required so I can really focus on them? PLEASE AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Every school is different. Check with your high school cheerleading coach…asap. Keep practicing!!!

I was thinking about becoming a cheerleader in college, but are there any prerequisites?

I know you have to be able to do hands stands back hand springs and stuff like that.

Do they only pick girls who had been high school cheerleaders or is it only on physical ability?
haha yeah, well I have nice breasts. I always knew that would be to my advantage! ha

If cheer leading doesn’t work out I can always work at hooters.
