i’m a cheerleader going to be a freshman and tryouts are in august. i was EXTREMELY close to getting a back handspring but i sprained my wrist and was out for two weeks. I NEED a bhandspring. ANY CHEERLEADERS pleasepleaseplease helpppp meee!

the only thing you can do is work at it your hardest. when i was trying to get my backhandspring it took a long time just to get your body used to it. it really helps to get coaching so they can give you tips on what your doing wrong or to spot you..you could try doing on a trampoline just to get the form down, its a lot less sacary than on the ground. when you go, you have to give 100% and be fully commited to it. other wise it wont turn out as well. focus on pushing through your legs when you jump, keeping your arms straight and your shoulders pushed up, and look at the ground when you jump back. good luck hope it helps! =]
