Question by Vanessa: Would my cheerleading jumps increase height in a week?
I only need one more week till cheerleading tryouts is there anything i can probably do to increase the height of my jumps a tad bit or maybe even clean them. Also another question i wanted to ask do muscles help the height of your jumps?

Answer by KierstyyyBabyy(:
Yes, muscle does help the height of your jump, do a lot of sit ups to tighten your abs .
your ab muscles are what bring the height in your jump .
also before the jump don’t double bounce . stay on the tip or your toes, then go into the jump .
and stay tight, don’t lean forward . and look forward .

but it is possible .

Q&A: How Can I Increase Flexibility for Cheerleading?

Question by abbythegrey: How Can I Increase Flexibility for Cheerleading?
I am trying out for cheerleading this June. Tumbling skills aren’t required as my Coach is willing to teach them. But, in the meantime, how can I increase my flexibility so I’m capable of doing stunts and tumbling? Are there any streches I should do daily before tryouts?

Any other tips of physical preperation are appreciated.
Do you have any good streches that you can suggest? I already do crunches leg lifts.

In my opinion, you would treat this just like any other professional job. You need to bring to their attention the accomplishments you’ve made (without sounding cocky) and just explain to them that you think you are getting paid below what the industry is paying for what you’ve accomplished:

I appreciate the opportunity I have had during the last XXX years of serving as a vital member of the athletic department. This past year has been an especially challenging environment, but my accomplishments have continued to build on my earlier achievements, and I have high expectations for this success to continue for the foreseeable future.

Here are some highlights of how I have helped the department and the organization in the past year:

LIST ALL YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

I look forward to continuing to play a key role within the department, and given all of my recent accomplishments and that my salary is still below industry averages, I am confident that you will offer a salary increase that reflects these issues and my standing in the department.
