What kind of exercise and stretching should I do in order to join cheerleading next school year?

Question by Lyndax: What kind of exercise and stretching should I do in order to join cheerleading next school year?
I plan on joining cheerleading next year, (about two and a half months) and I’ve been stretching this past couple of weeks because I am not AT ALL flexible. What exercises and stretching techniques should I do?

V ups, push ups, tuck ups, lay on ground have someone hold down hip and foot Take other leg and pull it to your face. Get privates at a local cheer gym! Stretch whenever you can. I have a straight leg scorpion and i am a level 5 cheerleader competitively, and on varsity cheer. don’t stretch too much only do what your body will let itself do. make sure you take hot showers and stretch after and before. Roll out muscles to keep them loose. don’t want to tear groin muscle i do it a lot and it hurts!
ps i am double jointed in pretty much every joint so i don’t know how much this will help you! but its worth a shot!
