  1. Cheer Chick

    For cheerleading:
-make sure that your jumps are high
    -be able to dance
    -Be very loud
    -Have sharp motions
-if u mess up keep going
-when ur cheering dont sound like ur singing
-when u first come on start spiriting
-try and learn some tumbling like backhandspring roundoff and cartwheel
Thats what i know i hope u make it!!

when i was in middle school in order to make the game team you had to be able to do the splits, and cartwheels.

Learn all the jumps just in case. Learn the toetouch, they might give you extra points. But that is all I can help you with, You need to talk to the cheerleading coach to find out what you need to do.Most schools have different tryouts. Learn how to spirit into the room and spirit out.

Ok first is your school’s squad really into the gymnastics or the cheer side of things. If they are more into the gymnastics side of things then you’ll need to at least be able to do a kartwheel and/ or a round-off. You’ll need to learn or know h ow to do herkies, eagles, Russians (toe-touches), Tucks, Pikes (maybe, they’re kinda tough for beginners and even intermediates), Left and right side hurdlers, and probably a hook, but those aren’t really popular.
If you mess up keep on going like you didn’t. don’t let your facial expression look like you messed up. If no one knows you messed up,,,You’re golden.
You’ll probably need to know or learn simple cheers and then a dance so practice trying to make one up at home or look online or in movies. Bring it on, no matter how corney you think it is, Bring it on again, gotta kick it up, etc. could help you think of one or just lear it from them. Cheer tryouts aren’t as hard as they seem usually. Just be happy, excited, but not psycotic, and be yourself. That’s really the best advice i can give. Don’t be fake. And drink lots of water no later than an hour before. You’ll feel hydrated but not water logged. Good Luck and remember Be yourself. “Inspire and Electrify!”
