If you are good in all other areas, then it shouldn’t be a problem.
However, don’t go at it with a negative attitude. When are tryouts? There’s gotta be time to work on those jumps.
The more your good at, the better. Keep practicing.

Don’t be nervous, and have very tight motions. Keep a smile on your face no matter how hard it is! Good luck

Remember to SMILE look like your having fun! And you should!
Keep TIGHT motions and a loud clear voice when doing a cheer.
Keep practicing on your jumps. Do conditioning for you leg such as squat jumps or wall sits.
Once you get stronger legs jumps will come much easier.
Also stretch. Splits will help your herkies and toe-touches and sitting in a pike helps your pikes. Keep practicing and don’t give up! If you can tumble and have spirit and be nice and tight with yuor motions you should be able to make the team and they will help you with your jumps!
    Good luck and have fun!

To Practice Jumps, what I did was buy Ankle weights and resistance bands.
When you are practicing the jumps, first use the ankle weights and do the jumps a couple of times with those. Then after take them off and tie the resistance bands around your ankles or your thighs and do the jumps a couple of times again. After take them off and I’m pretty sure you will see and/or feel a difference. Also try crunches because you need abdomen strength to be able to do a jump and bring you legs as high as possible.

    Advice for Cheerleading:

    TRY YOUR BEST
That is like the number 1 rulee 🙂

Heaven forbid, if you mess up, just keep on smiling and pick up again when you are ready. Don’t forget to use facials if you can when you are performing a dance and maybe a cheer/chant. That should definitely get you some extra brownie points 😀

Remember to stretch before you do jumps or anything, obviously haha
And make sure you have any papers or forms that you may have needed for the tryouts :DD

    If you need anything else
Feel free to ask me :DD
