Question by Juliet: Could a competitive cheerleading team ever do well if they only did an aerobesque and lib?
i am a flyer on my team and not all of the flyers have body positions (heel stretch, scorpion, scale) but i feel this is a huge part of cheerleading and we will need these to win, my coach never tells the flyers to stretch or anything ultimately he doesn’t think it matters but won’t it really affect our scores?
how and why what expericience do you have with cheer?

What do you think? Answer below!
yes you can. but it depends on your level.
im guessing your competing in either jv of var novis?
high school competitions?
work on your motions, jumps, dance, and transitions.
also spice things up.
instead of a normal lib. do a tic tock. or round off backhandspring into a flatback (or just roundoff into flatback) into lib or arabesque in one fliud transition.
show condifence it gets you a long way on the competition floor.
tell the flyers to stretch yourself.
stretch and condition yourself. you coach doesnt want you to improve on your skills?
thats odd.
if he already doesnt make you…
run laps.. miles.
push ups
sit ups
lunges
handstand push ups
splits
strech your backs
make yourself strong.
cheerleaders need stretch flexibility coordination. so many things.
im a cheerleader in high school.
my team works out more than the football team. and runs more than soccor.
we practice more than any other sport on campus
we tumble too. which reminds me. get your backhandsprings. then work your way up to tucks. layouts. fulls.
