Question by CJ: What are some good songs to put to a cheerleading dance?
I’m captain of my varsity squad this year at my high school and i have to find some songs that i can make dances to. I don’t want typical cheerleading remixes or the all time favorite kernkraft techno stuff… maybe some recent stuff or remixes that sound cool? our dances aren’t strictly pom, sometimes they have some other styles thrown in so any music is good. 🙂

Apologize remix, OMG by Usher, Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas, Party in the U.S.A. by Miley Cyrus, and alot of Kei$ ha songs.
Mickey – Toni Basil
My squad tends to have the same problems with finding appropriate music but we did choose to do a mix of OMG – Usher, Imma Be – Black Eyed Peas, and How Low – Ludacris, other songs we’ve used in the past that were great are, Here Comes The Boom – Nelly, One Girl Revolution – Superchick, Boom Boom Pow – Black Eyed Peas, Lose Control – Missy Elliot, and many more. Our strategy with picking music is just to find songs that have verses that were able to add moves to easily, or add moves that match the lyrics.
