Make sure you at least stretch your shoulders, legs, back, ankles, wrist, and neck. Bigger stretches I would do back bends, splits, high kicks, heel stretches, and scorpions. Then I would practice tumbling, jumps, motions, and flexibility.

stretching is SO important! it is a simple way to do fantastic in cheer.im an all star cheerleader and im also a flyer so i know what im talking about. for high kicks, you reall wanna stretch your hamstrings and splits. when in a split really push down and once you get it, move onto oversplits. this will help witht he high kicks, splits, and herkies. for back flexability (this is my stong thing) do back bends and walk your hands close to you as possible. also try to touch you feet to your head while laying on your stomach. another cool thing is to do a bridge in a doorway because it will help ou to be closer. when you try out remeber that cheerleading is about having fun and remeber that and always smile, even if you mess up. try your hardest and good luck, hope yoou make the team!

High Kicks: Try propping your foot up on your couch or a chair, and slide gently into a split position.

Back Bends: Stand about 2.5 feet away from a wall. Reach backwards and walk with your hands down the wall until they reach the floor.

Splits: Space 2 chairs leg-length apart. Put a foot on each. Doing this will push your legs up, and the rest of your body down.

Herkies: Do basic T jumps to perfect your swing, and gain height. Try practicing them on the trampoline.

It helps to stretch right after you get out of the shower. Your muscles are warmed up and a little bit more flexible. To get a higher score, try to do some basic tumbling, and show school spirit after the jumps and cheers. Be loud, and SMILE CONTINUOUSLY. It helps. I promise!
