i totally get what your saying i am a dancer and i hate when people say that dance isnt a sport we do just as much work as everyone playing soccer or football the only difference is people think dance is girly they asume its easy but first off i know so many guy dancers and second when ever i show them what i can do with my legs they always say wow! but then say its easy my response is always ok cme to one of my classes and they always say no because they know inside dance is easy good work! <3

so what happened to respect? why does one sport have to be better than the other. its absolutely ridiculous. competitive cheerleading and gymnastics are INCREDIBLY similar, and frankly, beam and bars are of equal difficulty as stunting or jumping.

please, grow up. you are all bringing a bad impression on your sport.

@nat2796 Being an ex-cheerleader (both hs & collegiate) and now a varsity cheer coach, I will say that I think tighter fitting uniforms ARE better for stunting. It’s also easier to catch a girl when your arms are touching bare skin… instead of having two layers of fabric between you you only have one which creates less slipping.

Cheer is ridiculous. If you are seriously into and compete in events and you enjoy it that’s great but you must realize that no one gives a fuck about anything you do at a sporting event other than the size or you tits and ass.

When people say Cheerleading isn’t a sport,
I always ask them one thing then,
    “If Cheerleading isn’t a sport,
then why is it all over ESPN?”
    Then their minds go blank,
they don’t know what to say,
    They usually start to wonder,
and have to think about that question all day.
    Not all cheerleaders are snobby,
    Not all cheerleaders are mean,
Not all cheerleaders can do back flips,
If you no what I mean.

Not all cheerleaders are blonde, and not all of them are dumb, Cheerleading is a sport, And we all like to have fun!

@Ceacea29 maybe if your daughter was an exceptional competitive gymnast as a level 8 you would realize the actual difficulty in the sport. i’ve done cheerleading and gymnastics. cheerleading, i think is one of the easiest sports to come by. however gymnastics, i have been doing for 14 years and competing for 8, and am now coaching, and training for my coaches license. Honestly i believe gymnastics is harder, and unlike cheerleading its an actual sport, and the most dangerous sport in the world.
