i made varsity this year as well, my first year trying out though i’ll be a sophomore. if you’ve cheered before, you have experience that many of t he other girls probably don’t have. just do your best to show off your most impressive skills, and make sure to smile and have fun. thats important with high school cheering. be tight in your motions, and even if you mess up the dance or cheer you learn, don’t freak out. just keep going like you did it perfect =D

you’ll be fine, dont stress about it !

well if your small and can tumble reallly well your a shoe in. Varsity teams are always looking for flyers. Im 14 and only 85 pounds. Make sure you get every move in your cheer, dance, chant right but even if you don’t make sure you recover well. Kepp smiling even when their NOT looking at you and have great spiriting when you enter and leave the room.

If your close to any tumbling skills that you have never done before, do them! Empress the coaches/head cheerleaders(which ever) Jump your heart out! 🙂 not literally but give 150% on each jump. Dance like you have never danced before and look confident. Since you have been cheering for a while I’m sure youll do fine! Good luck. Give this tryout all you got because if you make it this year, chances are you’ll make it for years to come! 🙂 Good luck girl! cheer like you mean it and like you want it. everything happens for a reason!

If you know all the technical things, then focus on the emotional ones. Show how your level of maturity matches or exceeds that of the upper classmen. Be ready to try anything. Make sure “can’t” isn’t in your vocabulary. Work well with others, especially under pressure. Finally, no coach wants a diva, whiner, cry baby or bossy take-everything-over kind of girl on her team. And stay out of the drama!
