Hiya!!, I am 12 years old and i want to start cheerleading but if i start at 12 would i be good because i dont want to be wasting my time on something that im not going to be good at becasue i started to late. So can u please HELP ME!!!!(: thanks so much 4 your help!

Yes of course! You just have to stretch alot in order to gain flexibility. Cheerleading was really fun when I did it so I hope you’ll like it.

    I started cheerleading when i was 12 and did it for about 5 years. For jr. high, all star, and high school and its a lot of fun but a lot of hard work goes into it. As long as you focus on working on your skills like tumbling and dance you shouldn’t have any problems being good at cheerleading, and don’t worry about anybody elses attitudes either because girls can get a little whiny sometimes in this sport. If you’re ever having any issues with learning routines your coach will be more than happy to help you out and get you on track. I hope you do well, good luck!

    it depends, i started cheerleading when i was like 4 and now im 12. if you work hard enough you could be good because it dosent matter how old you are when you start, to help you catch up:
    1. stretch[splits, heel stretchs, scorpions, crabs, scales, areobascs, ects.] if you want to be a flier, pushups if you wana be base/ back spot (but do both because they move peolpe around alot, like in one routine i was a flier in one stunt, a base in another and a front spot in another. even if you front spot and want another position keep stretching and practicing and they can change your spot)
    2. tumle and go to tumbling, at 12 and just starting no ones asking you to through a full, start with round offs and cartwheels than go to tumbling. first you get your backhandspring than tuck than layout than full,
    3. just remember to stay tight no matter what,
    4. dont talk alot even if everyone else is, listen to your coaches
    5. when someone tells you your doing something wrong, dont be offended or embarresses, just listen to what they say and correct yourself. their not just sayin that to you, they say that to everyone
    6. NEVER GO TO PRACTICE TIRED.

    i started 2 cheer when i wuz in 5th grade && i had NEVER cheered b4!! i wanted 2 play volleyball but some of my friends wanted me 2 try out w/ them… soo i did && i MADE IT!! i couldnt even do a cart-wheel then( i can do a back- flip now)!! soo YES u do have a chance!! u just have 2 practice A LOT!! o yea && if u make it dont listen 2 da ppl who say dat cheerleading isnt a sport, there just jeolous cuz they kno dat they could NEVER make it!! hope i helped!!!!!!
