Wisconsin Supreme Court declared cheerleading was a sport — and a contact sport at that sice cheerleaders frequently were in physical contact with each other. However, that ruling wasn’t for Title IX purposes at all.It was to disallow a cheerleader’s right to sue their partners who failed to catch her, as well as the school and its insurance company to pay for treating her injuries.
why would you not interview a cheerleader at sac state. they have one of the best teams in the nation; they finished 2nd in the nation last year. don’t interview people that don’t no anything about the sport. maybe if they watch there own cheerleaders they would realize its a contact sport.
