How do I convince my mom to let me do cheerleading?

Question by Elena Elena: How do I convince my mom to let me do cheerleading?
She says all they do is stand around and watch the boys and she’s basing all of her information on stereotypes and whenever I bring up the subject of cheerleading she gets mad and yells at me. I really want to do cheerleading. How do I convince her?

Tell her that that used to be the case, but now cheerleading is very athletic, and cheerleaders enter competitions that judge their gymnastic and dance abilities. She kind of has a point, though. But, why not just secretly go to try-outs next year? If you don’t make it, problem solved.

What do you think? Answer below!

tell her that they do physical excirsize. And it’s great school spirit, and you will be getting good mental health being part of something.

You can make a promise to her, do some tasks she want, etc.
Your mom in some point has the reason, about the boys, but ONLY IF THEY ARE A F*CKING PERVERTS XD.
    Try it.
PS: Sorry for my bad english

Tell her it will keep you active and healthy. Say, it will also look good on college application. And remind her, she can always make you quit if you start to do bad in school or she sees a negative change in you. Also tell her, you’d love for her to come the games with the rest of your family and watch you perform. Say, you want to get out of your shell and experience new things, especially with perfomring in front of people It might also help if you show her a youtube video of some cool cheerleading tricks, to impress her and show here it’s not all about the stereotypes!

First of all, don’t secretly go. That will lose the trust she has in you. Just ask her not to int interrupt you, and have a good talk. Tell her about how fit it will keep you, and stuff like that, focusing on the positive things about it.
    good luck!
    Cheers! 🙂

Tell her its a great exercise sport, you meet a lot of new people and become more social. And do some good research about cheerleading to show your mom to convince her Also you could get into football games for free which is a plus lol. I was going to do cheer leading but unfortunately it cost around 2,500 to do it at my school but other than that my mother didn’t have a problem with me joining

Tell her you don’t just watch boys. It’s a mental and physical game. It makes you more flexible and boosts your self esteem. You also do go to competitions and get judged on how good you are. The boys thing the basketball or football players won’t notice you and they will be to focused on the game.

That’s so not true! In games, we’re supposed to watch the boys but most of us don’t even watch the game we just stunt, tumble, and cheer. Here are some cheer vids for you to show your mom
