ok well i haven’t cheered for 8 years and i started back yesterday. i actually learned how to do a back handspring with a spot in less than 2 hours! i was so ecstatic! but i am realllllyyyy sore so does anyone have any exercises to make my arms stronger so i can do a backbend kickover like any specific foods to help me be healthy or ANY tips at all that will help me I LOVEEE LINKS
BTW because i just started im not very good so i need basics to like show me how to do a split etc.

take a day of rest and when your soreness is almost gone just keep doing back handsprings. that’s the only way you can be sure to work the muscles that you need in a backhandspring. just keep doing them. And it’s pretty straightforward. if you want to get your splits, do them! hold it as far as you can go for about 3 minutes each side, every day.

    I no this sounds crazy but do handstand push ups against a wall to strengthen your arms. Here is a site that mite help on ur splits!
