make sure you eat so u have energy.
    be loud .

you’ll probably need to know motions like high v low v touchdown etc.
if you have good tumbling thats always a plus.

There are so many ways that you can prepare for a cheerleading tryout. First thing is to maintain a healthy diet and to have good eating habits. Secondly it is important to work out. Also as a tip it is always a plus if you know all the cheers by heart.

    Be loud
    Be peppy…show spirit
Know the routine well and make sure your movements are crisp and your arms are stiff.
    Yell from your diaphragm
Gymnastics is a big plus or at least know how to do the splits and a cartwheel or round off.
    Practice your toe touches

When I tried out, something they told us was not to do the “fire engine”…sounds that a fire engine makes like WOOOOOOOO. They said to show spirit by (like after a cheer) saying things like “Go Bears” “We’re #1” etc. I hope you know what I’m talking about here…it’s hard to explain.

    Good luck!

First of all I need to know how long ’till your tryouts. Let’s say you have a month to prepare, okay? Make sure you do a lot of stretching exercises. FLEXIBILITY is key to good performance. BALANCE is another skill you must work on. COORDINATION is required to follow steps and pace routines accordingly. Be friendly and offer your help to whoever need it without falling in the category of a kiss-ass. People will always remember the girl who helped the fallen teammate (they’ll even make sure they have your name right by asking). Show spirit and leadership, too. Do more cardio than strength training. Sign up for dance lessons or buy a CD to add moves to your routine and perfect the ones you already know. Please Do NOT forget to watch your diet and pamper your skin (no ugly zits, please!!!). If possible, pay a visit to your dentist to whiten your smile. A white smile accompanied by good moves and lots of energy and enthusiasm, is always a plus! Get a subtle tan to enhance skin and simulate muscle tone, but please, do not show up looking like an orange (fake tan in a bottle). All you want is radiant skin. Last, but not least, get a conditioning treatment for your hair. You definitely want to show to cheerleading tryouts with lucious, shiny, sexy bouncy hair. And even if you feel like crying ’cause you’re nervous, just keep smiling and pretend you’re having lots of fun. One last thing, you want to make sure you DO NOT wear tons of make-up. Wear just enough to make yourself look pretty and enhance your good features without looking like a… you know what. The more you look like you’re a natural beauty, the better (even if you and I know you really are not…). Water resistant mascara, lipstick, and tinted-foundation are a must.
P.S. Make sure you have good breath since you might be approached by several cheerleader wannabes and some of the judges during tryouts.

    -amazing showmanship [smiling/facials]
    -loud
-tumbling is a big plus [can take tumbling classes at a local gymnastics center]
    -great attitude [positive/dedicated]

    thats pretty much the basics.

well you can practice in front of a mirror to see what your doing worng so you can have an advantage b4 tryouts to fix them
    2. practice tumbling on a trmapoline then or flat ground to get used to the gym or the football field
3.practice your cheers at least 3 times a day
    hope i helped ♥♥♥
