Here is the routine I did that you can try

    These help with losing weight:

    20 Jumping Jacks
    10 Push-ups
    20 Sit ups
    20 Lunges on each legs
    20 Crunches

You could also find pilates workouts like this one:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9byyWzHTcg

And this will help you lose weight

Then I did the stretching and with the stretches I did two sets of each stretch for 20 seconds which were:

Pike Stretch (Feet together, go down and reach for your toes of the floor)

Standing Straddle Stretches ( Feet shoulder length apart, go to the left, the right and then the middle.)

Sitting Straddle Stretch (Sit on the floor with your legs as far apart as possible and go to the left, the right and then the middle)

Sitting pike Stretch (Feet together for your toes, First point your feet, then Flex them)

Lunge Stretch ( One knee bent and the other leg straight behind you, lean foward to feel the stretch)

Inverted Lunge Stretch (From the same position above, simply lean back until you are ALMOST sitting on your foot and then reach foward for your toes.

Stretch your wrists and ankle by rolling them clockwise then counter-clockwise

Stretch your back by doing a brige

After practice your splits and try to get as far as you can
If you can already do splits, try to get oversplits

Next I would put on my ankle weights, (which were two pounds)
and practice my toe touches, herkies, and hurdlers
Using the weights really help you get height in your jumps

To learn cheers fast, I looked up tryout dances and cheers on youtube that were somewhat hard and learned them. I did this alot and I am now able to learn a cheer or dance in 15-30 minutes

To be sharp practice the motion, look at the motions here:

    http://cheerleading.about.com/od/motions…

and when you do them, don’t smile. When you Hit them, see if your cheeks jiggle, if they do then you hit the stunt sharp and tight.

To get in the habit of being able to learn dances quickly, find cheer tryout dances on youtube that are not tat long and try to learn them. Keep an eye on how long it takes you to learn them and try to take less time for each dance.

I hope that helps, if you have anymore questions, don’t hesitate to ask me :DD
    Good Luckk!

  2. &Soon 2 B Varsity cheerleader!

im n high school u have to have good grades they prefer u have tumbling skills but u don’t have to if u do u get extra pts.from the judges smile alot … we had 3 days to learn the chant, cheer, dance (which they tought us), but ur school might have u come up with them 4th day was the tryout we were put in groups in four , we also practiced stunting but we ended up not doing it at tryouts tried out for freshmen squad but didn’t make it im a soph. now i plan to try out for varsity in april.. im going to be working hard by the way & sometime during my jr. yr get tumbling lessons to get those skills dwn
did u go to the info. mtg. yet?

jumps: toe touch, front hurdler, herkie, tuck, pike (they want them high)
make sure u have precision, nice tight motions not sloppy or broken wrists

req.: ask any present cheerleaders or the coach if u need tumbling if u do end up needing it take a class cuz u can’t perfect them by urself u can get hurt

work out plans : stretch, lift 5 lb. weights? cuz u need strength for ur motions, jumps, and when stunting, running/walking
stretches:sit with legs in a V position, as far apart as you can and lean and stretch at the same time on both sides (lean over left leg, then lean over right leg) also, try reaching your hands out in front of you as far as you can while doing these exercises., butterfly as well.If you do this on a regular basis, you will continue to become more flexible.

meal plan: fruits, veg, sweets every now and then try to stay fit

how to:if u need any tips here are just a few sites i recommend
