Two of my high school girlfriends were cheerleaders, and I played football and other sports. How can I get my wife to dress the part of cheerleader so I can relive my glory days without her being her usual cynical self?

Well, Eddie, good luck with that if your wife knows your high school girlfriends were cheerleaders.
If she does not, buy her some pom poms and a short plaid skirt, put on your football uniform, and have a picnic on the “field” (your bedroom floor).
It sounds, however, like your wife is cynical because you think life before her were your glory days. The glory days are NOW.
Well it will take a while since Halloween’s already come and gone, but next time buy yourself a football costume (not just a jersey put some actual effort into it) helmet, shoes, pads the works you’ve got to really sell it. Then get her a cheerleader uniform (not some cheap piece of crap either) off the internet. Then when you get done handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters the two of you can have some fun.
Inside info: nearly every high school girl wanted to be a cheerleader. Just don’t bring up the other girls and try not to be too offensive (that’ll be the hard part, Eddie) and you might get a win out of this. Good luck!

If I were your wife, I’d be a little worried about fulfilling your cheerleader fantasy…..You never know, she could be in the middle of performing a split when her high school sweetheart’s class ring falls out…Now how would that make you feel…..Think it would dampen the romantic mood for the two of you?….LMAO……

Just order her a cute costume and like the other guy said some pitchers of margaritas and bam you will have a ball. That sounds like a great night to me, I’de have a lot of fun dressing up and getting smashed with my hubby.
Too tough ! The kind of glamor and charisma you expect to be in a cheerleader , you would hardly find in a wife at a advanced age. The whole exercise of just wearing cheerleader attire may turn out to be laughable.
Just dress up like a football player, same number and everything that you had in high school. Tell her you wished she had been a cheerleader back then, and that this is what you want for Christmas.
