You need to start working out and stretching every day. Cheerleaders need to be really flexible and strong. They have to hold people up for long periods of time when they are training and practicing. They also have to be able to do the splits. I would suggest enrolling in both a dance and gymnastics course at your community center, or somewhere else but the community center would probably cost less or even be free. Cheerleaders have to be good tumblers, especially if the squad at your school competes in competitions (not all squads do). Do good workouts every single day and stretch for long periods of time too. You need to build up good muscles everywhere in your body, so get to work!

    of course some basic stretches couldn’t hurt but if your nervous about not knowing anything at your first practice then watch some basic videos on youtube about the fundamentals of dance gymnastics and cheer leading.

    ok well i used to be a cheerleader and so you need to one work out so that your fit and you need to watch what you eat so you don’t get fat but don’t like starve yourself or anything and second you probably need to sign up for tumbling classes so that you can do a back handspring and possibly a back tuck and any other tricks. whatever your team requires. and another thing you can do is make a good routine maby have some friends help and talk to other cheerleaders and maby they will help you on routines and what you need to do.
