that is great you find what you wanna do in high school!

stretch every day, and to learn dance may be good, cuz you can get muscle for dancing and can get a sence of rythm.

    good luck !!!

well my sister is a cheerleader so im guessing you could take gymnastics for abit to make the try outs i mean thats what she did it worked like a charm

Great choice! 🙂 But first thing’s first, you MUST have training. Depending on how advanced the squad your trying out for, try-outs are tough and can be stressful. Start a gymnastics class ASAP (do not overlook this, this is mandatory) and ask a cheerleader that’s already on the squad to stop by and teach you all the motions, jumps, and a few cheers. Practice yelling from your diaphragm and being super tight. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE everything that they teach you. Stretch every morning and every night and work on your splits as much as possible-this is SO important. There is also a certain “look” that coaches and captains look for. I’ve seen from experience that they like girls that always always always wear big bows in their ponytails, and always wear your hair up for tryouts with bangs out of face. Good Luck!
