Nothing, in fact forget everything you already know and you’re perfect cheerleading material

generally, there isn’t much to know. you’ll need to know motion placement, which is number one. just look it up online, or ask a friend. you1ll also probably need to know jumps, where your arms go during the prep, the jump, and the landing, the timing, and where your legs go, and how to bend them. always smile, coaches love it. even if your confused and your messing up, smile and look like your having fun, even if you aren’t.

Ok, here is what we did at my try out::
First they taught us two chants and a dance(a hard one) and then asked us to show them three at a time the dance and chats, remember ALWAYS smile even when you mess up and make sure it looks like your having a lot of fun.
Second cartwheel into a split, i cant do a full split so when they asked me to do it they told me to try and i couldn’t do the split. Then they ask if you can do any other tricks like backhand spring or round off.
Third, toe touches we all had to do toe touches, the jump that is like this http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://cheerleading.about.com/library/graphics/jumps/cheerzone_toetouch.jpg&imgrefurl=http://cheerleading.about.com/od/jumps/l/bljump_cheerzo.htm&usg=__khBRrf6tVcdDnApDLmmfM24I0bw=&h=288&w=318&sz=13&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=Nm3YNCVAUIeanM:&tbnh=107&tbnw=111&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtoe%2Btouch%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1020%26bih%3D343%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=328&ei=ucpuTKeIMcWclgehr_GcDQ&oei=i8puTOzrCYP48AbsiZH3Cg&esq=11&page=1&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0&tx=51&ty=73 don’t worry most people aren’t very good at this but they still make you try it.
Fourthh: they asked what our experience was with cheerleading, what we could do to make the squad better and if we were willing to take gymnastics.

    Hope this helped you (:
