nope, if you want to, you can work hard and become a cheerleader.

sign up at a gymnastics gym. take lessons. you may need to learn up to a backhandspring, maybe a back tuck. those wont take TOO long to learn, if you work extra hard at them.

maybe take private lessons, too.♥

take a tumbling class to perfect your cartwheel and to learn a round off and back handspring. if you learn a back handspring you have a pretty good chance of making the team, depending on the abilities of the other cheerleaders. stretch for splits every day and you will soon be flexible enough to do a split. good luck.

    – sign up for tumbling this summer

    – practice your flexibility

… i hope you have good dance skills?

LOL. all hope is not lost.

i was a varsity soccer player and basketball player freshman-junior year. then i quit it all and became a cheerleader my senior year.

thru cheerleading i got a full ride scholarship to a big university. it was great.

basically you need to be able to learn quickly. The faster you pick up things the better. A cartwheel was more than i could do my first try out, and i still made varsity. Just smile all the time, try to always be postive. If you dont get something on the first try, dont get down on yourself. the best thing to do when you mess up is joke about it then try again. 😀

oh and ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU ARE CLEAN WITH YOUR MOTIONS.

cheerleading is such a fun sport. i love it.

if you ever need any help feel free to email me, i always answer back in like a matter of minutes.

BTW: most schools have already done their tryouts…

l doubt all hope is lost but, basically most cheerleaders at my school are thin, flexible and practice all most everyday of the week at school.

All you gotta do is take time this summer, practice, hopefully you can get yourself a nice look before you go back to school, not saying you look bad since I don’t know you, but some girls are just not cut out to be cheerleaders.

Good Luck though, and practice hard!

    nope. 🙂

i joined my school team and i had 0 experience and had some volleyball…volleyball will not help you except stay conditioned if anything. XD

you just need to work harder than everyone who has those skills. but thats what you have to do in every sport.

might want to start lifting weights, do some push ups, work your core and start stretching…but idk i stretch alot and i still am not flexible to this day. 😛 but might help so you odn’t hurt yourself.

take classes, get some friends, and have fun! 🙂

Well, it sounds like youre good to go. You should be fairly flexible and able to to do a handstand but if not, all hope is not lost. It sounds like you would be best suited for sideline cheer, like just being on a school team for football or basketball. So go for it!
