Do you have any cheer experience? If you do, great. If not, you should take a cheer clinic or dance/tumbling classes. It really depends on your school, but most likely they’ll teach you a cheer and chant for tryouts, and you’ll have probably have to do a touch touch, along with other things. This should also help:

What i do is I get on a trampoline and do 20 toe touches none stop. and i practice cheers. cheer clinics work.

i would suggest to take tumbling classes because high school teams are getting more and more competitive. i can tell u the coaches will be looking for “coachablility” like do u make changes to what they commented on and do u make the same mistakes more than once and do u take critisism or does it upset you. they want girls who are willing to work to learn new things and arent scared of it. also always punch motions tight. stretch and make sure u always smile and if u make a mistake dont let it show in ur face, just keep going. good luck
