Try out for a team, they will get you ready. Dont be fat, fat cheerleaders are gross.

You are flexible enough, sweetie. You already knew that.

I compete on a collegiate level at The University of Kentucky on The Blue Squad, you have good flexibility, but it’s far from just being flexible. If you plan on going on a collegiate team like mine, you are going to have to know how to partner stunting, basket tosses and tumbling.

Take tumbling classes and try to see if they also have partner-stunting classes, along with cheerleading classes. You will learn the three most important factors into becoming a cheerleader in college.

Don’t be frightened by those moves. We learn those once we are IN the program.

Good luck! If you have any more questions, drop me an E-Mail.

Thats awesome, hun! When you get on the cheer team, they will give you new things you can try. You definitley would be able to do them, because you seem extremely flexible. Good luck 🙂

Flexibility is good. It helps with flying, jumps, and some tumbling. You also need to be strong though, and have great endurance.

Aside from the jumps and tumbling you will also need to practice your motions, dancing, and how to correctly yell cheers. This site has articles, pictures, and videos of all of those skills: http://aescougarcheer.com/Cheer101/basics.htm (Don’t do the tumbling on your own, though, aside from bridges and handstands. Let your gymnastics instructor teach you the rest of the skills so that you can be safe while learning them.)

    Good luck! :^)
