that sounds about right. I’m pretty sure that the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleading Tryouts had about 220 or 250. I think I read it off the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Website.

Of course, considering the popularity and fame of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders… they probably have more auditions than most NFL Cheerleading Tryouts. Hope this helps. Good luck on getting on a nfl cheer squad! 😉

It all depends on which team you are trying out for. Some teams (like the 49ers, Raiders, Cowboys, and Dolphins) start out with somewhere around 500 hopefuls. Some teams have around 200 – 250 when the tryouts start.

If you want to get an idea of what goes on in the tryouts, from the first time the girls demonstrate their skills all the way through learning routines and each round of cuts, all the way to the final selections, then you need to watch “Making the Squad” on the NFL network. If you aren’t familiar with it, NFL Network is channel 212 on DirecTV. That show follows the entire tryout process for different teams. They show the Buc’s, Dolphin’s, and Cowboy’s cheerleader tryouts quite often, and sometimes other teams as well.

If you watch the show, you’ll get to see what to expect, which will give you an opportunity to get prepared and possibly help give you a better chance of making the squad! Good luck!
