Question by confused: Do cheerleaders always wear their cheerleading outfits to school?
I live in Australia and I have been watching a few US tv shows (Glee) where they always show cheerleaders dressed in their cheerleading uniforms, do cheerleaders in schools only wear their outfits to school and nothing else, or is it just on tv?!

just on television..i think its because them pretty girls in belly shirts and short skirts tend to sell more.but in real life almost all high schools have a strick dress code and girls cant show there stomachs or wear skirts higher than there finger tips..not even for the games..so them outfits are just for television to!
At my school, the cheerleaders and poms team wear them on game days, but the uniforms are long sleeve shirts and a not too short mini skirt, they don’t wear that stuff everyday.
i’ve always wondered that. i don’t think they would. cheerleading uniforms need to be hand washed and some dry-cleaned, some parents would be very annoyed if their kid wore clothes that had to be dry cleaned every weekend. also, most cheerleading uniforms actually aren’t very comfortable the braiding really burns where it rubs on your skin. also, the skirts are shorter than you expect them to be, it uncomfortable (for me at least) to wear my cheerleading skirt anywhere but a cheerleading competition.
for me it seems impractical, but hey? when does that ever stop anyone?
Well I was a cheerleader this year, and we wore them on game days. I loved it because the uniforms were sooo cute! And we have a strict dress code about not wearing short skirts, but only us cheerleaders were able to because it was SCHOOL SPIRIT ! (: i love cheerleading so much
Thats just on tv. We can only wear our warm-ups on game days, and our uniforms on pep-rally days
