other than candy, i would like ANY cute ideas about the decorations, the basket itself, or what to put in it..our colors are red, white, and blue.

just get really creative. maybe give him a new waterbotte, some beef jerkey, bubble gum, chips, gummy bears, any school stuff you can find…like school bumper stickers, a new school t-shirt. even a beach towel in your school colors, sports magazines, a new cd of some new music. it just depends on how much time and money you want to spend. but, you can make it really cute. plus, if your colors are red, white and blue, you can decorate the basket with american flag type decorations. put some confetti and congratulations type stuff to encourage a football win! have fun!

I think that cookies shaped like jerseys, frosted with your school colors and his # on it it a cute idea. Also, glow sticks on yarn of your school color. The other answer has a lot of good ideas too. The red, white, and blue stuff should be easy to find. Good luck with this fun project!
