Haven’t you ever had one before? Anyways, it’s not that bad…they just check your heart beat, vision, hearing, etc…then they have to examine you from head-to-toe, (including private area). it’s a bit awkward but really quick. They need your parent’s permission to do so, but I don’t know if they have to be in there.

don’t worry, they don’t do much and your parent doesn’t have to go in with you but they prolly will anyway.

they mainly take your vitals (pulse, blood pressure, temperature), take your weight and measure how tall you are, listen to your lungs, look in your ears and at your throat and eyes, ask you about any problems you may be having, check your reflexes, press on your belly.

all that’s performed in a phyiscal is just that. your doctor will check your reflexes, your sight, your breathing, your ears, your mouth. most importantly, they’ll check your spine to make sure it isn’t crooked or anything, and they’ll have to check off this long sheet of things that should be watched, and things that you don’t have to worry about. basically coaches need you to take it, so that later on, if you hurt yourself due to some physicality, the school cannot be sued for forcing or allowing you to play the sport. it also lets your parents and you know that if you do have a crooked spine, that hey its not the best thing to do, for it may hurt your back in the long run.

im 15, and i go for a physical every year for camp. I HATE physicals but they arent THAT bad. They usually ask you a few questions(how your feeling, have you gotten your period, is it normal, ect.) and then they check your hearing your heart beat, and reflexes. they will press on your stomach to check your organs and then they are done. I dont like to go either, but you have to. It wont be to bad, you can ask your parents to wait outside of the room if you want.

    Hey.
Because you’re still considered a child, they just do the basic stuff -checking your heart beat, looking for abnormalities that will cause problems with your vision or hearing, inspecting the inside of your mouth, updating shots, measuring height and weight, or looking for anything out of the ordinary.
It’s nothing to be worried about! And I believe that you’re old enough to know about your health, so your parents probably don’t have to come in, although its still a good idea though. My Mom only comes in when I’m having a physical, not my Dad. Also head up, they might ask if you’re menstruating (have your period) and stuff like that. They don’t look at your *down there* or anything like that, so don’t get worried. I know, because I’m 14 and I get a physical like twice a year.

Probably just the normal things. Don’t worry about a pelvic or breast exam at your age. At most he might take a quick look downstairs.
