How to practice flying techniques for cheerleading?

Question by Andy: How to practice flying techniques for cheerleading?
This year I just started cheering with my high school without previous experience. Everything is going really well, except I have a hard time with stunts. When going into half (elevator, whatever), I tend to drop my butt down when the bases go down, and I have a hard time pushing myself off of their shoulders to get good over pop. Are there any strategies I can use to avoid this or are their any ways I can practice at home without bases? Thanks in advance!

One thing is when you are loading in you may need to bend more in your legs! Make sure to squeeze your butt when going up. It is okay to sorta stick you but in your back spots face when loading in as long as you tighten up when you get into the half. Well you can sorta practice at home by holding yourself up with straight arms between to chairs. (: Hope this helped.
