I’m trying out for cheerleading this year. they say to get in you have to do toe-touchs which is where you do a split ( it doesn’t have to be a complete split but the straighter and higher the better ) while jumping. When I try I can’t seem to get my legs up very high. Please help!

It takes practice. I do my middle splits every morning and hold it for 1 minute and then again at night. I also practice on my trampoline. Just keep working on it and use the muscles in your core/abdomen to lift up off the ground.
