I would like to make a spirit stick favor for a homecoming game to throw out to the crowd, any ideas?

We used to take old soda cans, fill them with a hand full of rocks and then spray paint them. Have a spirit party where everyone decorates them and makes posters to put up around the field.

PVC pipe is very durable and light weight. You can use adhesive backed felt, paper, etc. to cover it. Decorate with ribbon and raffia for the streamers.

Paper towel cardboard rolls or toilet paper cardboard rolls. Paint in school colors and ribbon. Fill with mini tootsie rolls or other candy, cover ends.
The thing that worked for my team? A track baton. Strong and light metal that is usually already brightly colored. Decorate with team colors, streamers, and glitter.
