Yeah.

If you want all the jocks to know you personally.

Why wouldn’t cheerleaders be popular, especially when they’re doin’ their high kicks wearing only their little short mini-skirts?

Guys would be just as popular too if they had little short skirts on doin high kicks with no undies.

In england we don’t even have cheerleaders. There was always the well known people like me for instance.

I had the cuteness factor going on that helps.

A student becomes popular by having their own positive style and ‘trademarks’ which distinguishes from other students, however, it really depends on the school. Believe it or not, in ghetto schools for example, gang members are treated as ‘popular’ students, but they don’t use the ‘popular’ label and it doesn’t always guarantee popularity. True ‘popular’ students do not worry or embrace the label ‘popular,’ instead, they are noticed for their confidence and ability to make friends. As a result, students that aren’t so social look up to those students as ‘popular’ students. Therefore, the goal is to be *sociable,* not popular. Note, in school, certain activities are cliched and stereotyped to ‘ensure’ popularity, such as, for example, cheerleading or playing sports. For instance, in many teen films, the cheerleaders are more, often the ‘sometimes,’ pretty and popular. Also note, cheerleaders only become popular when they look pretty and date the ‘popular’ guy on the football or basketball team. She therefore gets noticed by other girls in either a positive or negative light, which makes her ‘popular.’ That’s only in the movies. I was a cheerleader in school, and I guess I was considered ‘popular,’ but I also did ‘nerdy’ things like joining the debate team. I some friends for that because they thought it was ‘nerdy,’ but who cares? I rather further my education than hang out with fake friends. Lol, just become someone looks attractive doesn’t mean they can’t be intelligent. That alone can give you something to talk about during conversations, and make you sociable and interesting. Also notice, in teen movies, a ‘popularity’ system ALWAYS exists, no matter the school. This, however, is a cliche. Some schools do emphasize on popular, average joes, and nerds or geeks, but many also don’t care about people’s differences and either befriend them, or avoid them.
