That’s not competitive cheerleading obviously. Cheerleading is the hardest sport I’ve ever done. And I’ve done volleyball, softball, tennis, and basketball. How easy is it for you to lift a person?
Competitive Cheerleading = Sport.

Yeah, cheerleading at football games and such is kinda lame, but competitive cheerleading is most definitely a sport. One of my friends is a competitive cheerleader, and I know I couldn’t do it. It looks waaay too hard!
It’s like gymnastics in a way.
School cheerleading is a joke I agree, but competitive cheerleading takes strength, and skill. You have to be able to hold up another person, be able to throw them in the air, be able to find a way to land correctly so you don’t hurt yourself.
There’s so many injuries for this sport.
Yeah so throwing a human being in the air & catching her so she wont break her neck & die is the easiest thing in the world.

Cheerleading is as much a sport as football, maybe even more. In football your throwing a 1 ounce ball across a field, in cheerleading your throwing a 100 lb girl into the air and catching her, making sure not to drop her.
I am a cheerleader on my school’s TEAM. We train and we work hard. It is just as physically draining as any other sport.
Cheerleading is definitely a sport, even the boys on the basketball team that we cheer for think its a sport.
You must not be a cheerleader then. Can you throw a 100-130 lb girl in the air, Smile. Yell. Tumble, AND show spirit, while keeping your uniform in check, And push ,jumps and kicks to your possible limit?

The uniforms, I will agree, some are much to short and revealing. But for the regular ones, Their part of fashion, and show spirit, Not “snobby-ness”
There is so much more to cheerleading than you know.
