Q&A: Would i be prepared for college cheerleading tryouts?

Question by bfoxx08: Would i be prepared for college cheerleading tryouts?
I am trying out for college cheerleading in May, and I am concerned i am not ready. Even though I will be attending the clinic in March, I have barely any tumbling experience (barely a backhand spring), and my high school cheerleading squad has stifled me from reaching my full potential stunting wise. What else can I do to get prepared with the limited sources I have?

Invite all of the cheerleaders over for a slumber party. Be sure to spike the punch and always have enough pillows for that late night pillow fight. Have your camera ready to take lots of pictures, wait. What was the question again?

Ok, first of all, don’t freak out! It’s okay that you don’t have a lot of experience, but I’d try to get as much as you can! Try going to your local cheer gym and getting private lessons to help you reach your full potential! Try YouTube-ing your college and watching some of their stunts and skills. Check out their website and see if you meet the requirements. Most importantly when you try out, just smile and have fun! Best of Luck! Check out this site for local gyms in your area:
