Question by 3A07♥: Is 12yrs old too old to start All Star Cheerleading?
I have no gymnastics or cheerleading backround but really wanna see if I like it. Thx!

well, here’s the thing- once you start, you will be doing a lot of meets, practises, and competitions, and considering you have no background, this will be overwhelming for you. Quitting isn’t right once you have made a commitment, so I think you’re best option is to try out for a school team, or take lessons. when you do communtiy league cheerleading, it’s hard to judge whether you like it or not, because the coaches aren’t experienced, so you may not be learning the same things you would do in All Star. My final word:
Find a competent teacher/coach who will give you lessons or will et you try out for a team, then make your choice.
Some gyms have non-travel teams that are a lighter commitment than a regular team. And some offer classes without team placement. Look into those to see if you enjoy it. :^)
I didn’t start cheerleading at all until I was 13, and I started allstars when I was 14. The thing about allstars is many have teams for all levels and abilities. 12 is most certainly not too young.
