Q&A: How to become a better cheerleader?

Question by i♥cheer.: How to become a better cheerleader?
I’m a freshman. I was a cheerleader for 7th & 8th grade.
I need to be able to do cart-wheels, round offs, and back flips (possibly). Any suggestions?

Also how can i keep beat better and do better at jumps?
Sorry it’s the wrong category but I figured a lot of cheerleaders like this stuff.

also im not a mean cheerleader!!

Stretch more often to become more flexible. Try to work your way into the splits, both front and Russian splits. Practice cartwheels and roundoffs in your school’s gymastics area with a floor mat. Don’t try to teach yourself how to do backhandsprings. Ask your parents to enroll you into a gymnastics course so that a pro can help teach you some tumbling skills (backhandsprings, etc…). Practice, practice, practice.

First off i am a varsity cheer leader as a freshman this year so i actually kno what i am talking about so ya….

Well for your tumbling skills you need to take professionally taught classes that way you are safe and your getting good and correct advice… ( these classes probably cost 15$ an hour at any gymnastics gym ) also for your tumbling you need to have confidence in your self and confidence with anyone that is helping you bcuz if you are scared you will never get any thing!

For your jumps you can do many things..
For hight in jumps you can work ab workouts leg strength and lots of power.

For tight jumps all you need to do is SQUEZE EVERY muscle in your body this will aslo help your hieght cuz then you will be lighter…

good luck i hope i helped!! good luck on everything you will be greeeeat!

Well be very dedicated into learning the cheers. Also since you were a cheerleader before then at least you know your flexible. Learn the beats and practice jumping. If you want to become a cheerleader that bad then you need to practice practice practice because practice makes perfect.
