Question by ballerina12349: Can you be a cheerleader without tumbling ability?
I can’t tumble, and I was just wondering, will most high school teams take you without tumbling ability. I can fly, but not tumble.
I’m going to Countryside High School next fall in Florida. Go Cougars!

It depends where you go to school. At my school you dont have to tumble. At tryouts it doesnt count aginst you if you cant. But just going to the neighboring school you have to.

yeah it’s perfectly fine if you can’t tumble! some high school teams, depending on the coach, though, require some tumbling ability. it all depends on your team. but if you can’t tumble, try wowing the judges with your awesome flying! also, make sure you smile and do your best on cheers and dances. cheerleading isn’t all about the tumbling, you have to have all the other skills too! i hope that helped :]
Well it depends on what school you go to? In a lot of schools you don’t it’s not really necessary cheer leading it more about dancing and doing pyramids so it might not be necessary.
