Question by ROSE: How to prepare to be a cheerleading flyer?
Ok so it my first year of cheerleading and i’m going to be a flyer. am i to heavy i’m 130 pounds and what should i expect from being a flyer

You will be scared @ first.. Just pull up and dont be concerned about yer weight.. I am 5’4 and i am a flier.. Just perservere and never give up.. Just try to imagine being pulled up by a string.. good luckk (: best wishes. <3

    well im a flyer too. ive been cheering for four and a half years. it all depends on the level you are cheering at. high school, middle school, all stars. ive had some experience in everything.
    to be a flyer, you need to stretch. a lot. and just make sure that when you are in the air, you are squeezing every muscle in your body. talk to your stunt group and try to help out your bases as much as you can. it might be scary if you never have flown before, just trust your group. and since its your first time you wont have to do anything crazy. just the basics. im 5’4 and 100 lbs at high school level. im about to be a senior. but ive known flyers bigger, taller, and way more muscular than me. theres no way of knowing if you are too heavy, it all depends on how strong the bases are and if they can lift you.     130 is good because you will be able to hold your own weight rather than the little flaky flyers well im 102 so i shouldn’t talk but remember to pull up and squeeze! you’ll do good oh and be really flexible!!!!!
