How do I stay a small, fit flyer for cheerleading?

Question by blondie_cheerangel: How do I stay a small, fit flyer for cheerleading?
I am currently on a cheer squad for my school and I am a flyer. I used to be the lightest flyer on the squad, but recently I gained about 10 pounds. I am very ashamed of this and next season, I want to be my same weight again. I love flying, it’s my favorite thing in cheerleading, I don’t want to be base or a backspot! Please help!

Hi! I had a similar problem. Some advice I can give is watch what you eat. Sometimes its hard if you like to eat a lot. Just eat a little less at meals, then you will be used to eating less.
If food isnt the problem, then just keep being active. Go outside and go get some friends and do something. Play a game or whatever. If you are not already, maybe try a gymnastic class because it will give you more practice for you stunts/tricks and moves. Plus its fun and its bring active, you will lose weight if you do these things(Im pretty sure) plus you will tone up.

    Hey Desire!

I suggest not over eating but not starving yourself. Try the Daniel diet (you go a week and only have fruits, vegetables, and water). You loose alot of weight! Keep up practicing for cheer and good luck!

well working out will help a lot. Like running at working on your legs and arms and basically everything to loose weight. Try eating healthy food. No Soda! Always Drink lots water. Eat light snacks. Remember to read the calories on the food box. Maybe start a daily routine like this

    -Wake Up
    -Shower/ Get Dressed
-Have a good breakfast (Eggs, toast, wheat cereal not the ones full of sugar ones!, etc. The healthy stuff)
-Go run around, play outside or practice cheerleading
-Have lunch maybe a wheat sandwich with not a lot of mayo or those high calories stuff
-Or if you’re not that hungry, have a light snack like an apple
    – Go take the dog out for a walk or jog with a friend around the neighborhood.
    – Relax!
    – Take a shower
    – Hang out with your family or Relax some more
    – Then Sleep!

P.S. When eating don’t eat any peanut butter! It make s you gain weight!

Your schedule doesn’t have to be like that but have that kind of idea about it.

    Good Luck!!!!
