Question by : how do I convince my dad to let me be a cheerleader?
okay well I hate basketball and my dad makes me play,I tell him its a dumb sport and I hate it, but how do i make him be supposrtive in my decision to be a cheerleader?

    That sucks that you’re playing something you don’t like! Just tell him you’re UNHAPPY playing basketball. That should elicit a different response than telling him the game is stupid. Then tell him you’ll wear biker shorts under your cheerleading uniform, so you’re always appropriate.

    You are correct that basketball is a stupid sport. I don’t know why anyone would ever want to play or watch it.
    Just tell your dad you don’t want to play basketball. If you can be a cheerleader then go for it. If your dad won’t let you let him know that you are not playing basketball either way.

    Well, you can practice cheering a lot. That way he’ll see that you really want to do it. You might also ask him why it’s so important to him that you play basketball instead of cheering. If it’s about getting exercise or learning teamwork, cheer offers that too. :^)

    Good luck winning him over, but don’t bug him or sulk because that will just annoy him.
