Question by random person: How do i become a cheerleader in 8th grade…?
so i’m 13 and i really wanna get on the cheer squad, but i’m really shy and not that loud or preppy, and i’m NOT popular. but when we have tryouts in september or august i’m gonna be nervous, what are some tips on the tryouts?? oh and don’t say something like date the football captain cuz he doesn’t even know i’m alive,and what about the other cheerleaders, what if they laugh at me???

Hun, I’m 13 and TRUST ME ive been there. My mom really wanted a cheerleading daughter, so i was like what the hey, and went to the meeting. The coach won’t just standy you up and say do something. for us, she taught us a cheer and half of a dance. they dont look on how “good” you are. Just if you try and focus on keeping “sharp” and “enthusiastic” None of the other cheerleaders will laugh at you for just starting. All the other girls in my group had done cheer summer camps with the high school and were all experienced. They were newbs once too, and if they do pick on you, just remind them of that. Or tell them to go choke on a pom (: but just make sure the girl isnt your base, because that could be kinda risky (: I really hope this helped.
